This Year's Summer Saviours

That's it guys. Summer is officially over. September is in full swing, and before we know it we will be reaching for our trusty coats and scarves, and not to mention stuffing our faces with christmas spirit. Haha.

The weather hasn't been too amazing in London this year, but we did have a few very hot days in June and July. I did go away to Menorca too in August, which was so beautifully relaxing (and for the first time in years, I came back with a tan - it's actually a miracle). Now that summer has come to an end, I thought I would share the products I've been loving throughout the season.

ASOS Rose Gold Pool Sliders
I needed some new sandals to take away with me on holiday, just to wear around the pool and all that good stuff. These rose gold sliders were so cheap on ASOS and were definitely a holiday essential. They are quite water resistant and so comfortable. I've been wearing them around the house as slippers too!

Victoria's Secret Body Mist - Mango Temptation
I'm literally obsessed with every Victoria's Secret body mist. They all smell divine, and this one infused with mango nectar and hibiscus has been my go-to everyday spray for summer. I've had so many compliments when wearing it.

The Body Shop Passionfruit Body Butter
For me, summer is all about smelling fresh and fruity! I love body butter and make sure that I moisturise daily. I came across this in The Body Shop and totally fell in love. It's so thick and goes a long way (I haven't even used half the tub yet!) Combined with the mango body spray, I smell like a smoothie.... in the best way possible, of course :)

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum
I was given a free sample of Advanced Night Repair in a goodie bag from Estee Lauder. I was ridiculously excited about this, knowing how highly it's rated in the beauty industry. However, I'd never thought to actually try a full size as it's quite pricey. My skin is usually very oily, but in summer I also struggle with dry patches. I applied a small amount of this every night before going to bed, waking up to such soft, radiant-looking skin. For some reason, my acne seemed less inflamed too. I've come to realise you only need a very small amount, so I'm tempted to buy the full size. I love this stuff!

EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet
I am a lip balm addict (anyone who knows me will definitely be aware that I have a problem haha). This is the second EOS lip balm I have. They just smell so delicious, and have the most amazing consistency. The tub means I can also avoid greasy fingers! My lips tend to dry out a lot in the warmer months, so this has been an absolute life saver for me. I want one in every flavour!

Urban Decay Oil Control Setting Spray
As I wear a pretty heavy face of makeup all year round, I definitely worry about getting oily throughout the day, especially when it's hot. This spray is amazing to set my makeup. My finishing powders, contour and highlight look flawless after using this - and it definitely does help with oil control, more than the original setting spray by Urban Decay. I love carrying it with me too if I'm going to have a long day, as I can spritz it whenever I want, leaving my face feeling fresh and rejuvenated!

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan in Matte
Let me tell you, this is my new best friend. It's perfect for last minute outings, and gives me such a natural, even looking tan when applied with a mitt. It dries super quickly and washes off easily in the shower. I even took this on holiday with me to top up my white bits. It didn't transfer or melt away in the heat. I feel like I'll be buying this for life!

Celine Two-Tone Wayfarer Sunglasses
I decided that this year, I would treat myself to some designer sunglasses. I'm obsessed with the Celine ones and got these from Harvey Nichols. They are sooooo chic and glamorous (I feel like a Kardashian when I wear them lol). The lenses are super dark and do a brilliant job at protecting my eyes - I just LOVE them, so so much. The Dior 'so real' shades are next on my list ;)
